Naomh Gall Allotment-1

St. Stephens Day Match

Well done to all the hardy souls who braved the weather on St.Stephens day to take part in the annual St Stephens day game. £320 was raised with more promised.

As per usual, the wise heads of the overs prevailed over the tireless legs of the unders after a shaky start. Maybe it was in the water bottles that helped!!

Thanks to all players and spectators

On behalf of the committee of St Galls I want to congratulate all of our members…

On behalf of the committee of St Galls I want to congratulate all of our members and families who have been involved in the Under 14 Féile Hurling event which has taken place this weekend.

Comhairdheas to Joe and Karl for the organisation of the event. Well done to the team for their excellent performances and true sporting attitude. A great effort by all the players.

We hosted the Kilmacow club from Kilkenny and I know they were made feel very welcome and the boys had a great time with their host families. There was great craic agus ceoil in Cumann Naomh Gall on Friday and Saturday.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh to the families of the under 14 boys who hosted the children from Kilmacow. I know they had a wonderful experience. As Joe said last night the boys will remember the friends they have made and the marvellous time that they had forever.

There are so many people to thank but first and foremost I must thank our secretary, Sinéad , who worked tirelessly to get things in place for the event and who spent most of Friday and Saturday working in and around the club for Joe and Karl and the team.

We all had our duties and everyone participated in the true St Gall’s spirit.

Naomh Gall u14 ladies winning the Conor McGreevy Tournament at Colin Gaels today…

Naomh Gall u14 ladies winning the Conor McGreevy Tournament at Colin Gaels today, beating a tough Gort na Mona side in extra time!!! Unreal ladies!!! NGA!!!St galls u14 produced an outstanding performance in the conor mc greevy cup at brooke activity centre.
They went from strength to strength loosing only to gortnamona in the first stages of the cup. They met them again in a tense exciting final. The referee called it a draw, to much disappointment of the fans who recorded a win to st galls.
A 5 minute deciding game was then played. It ended up a one sided 5 minutes with our girls displaying unbelievable skill, passion and an overall team win. Every player, without exception, rose to the occassion to win by at least 10 points.
We are all very proud of them. Well done.
A very warm thankyou to colin gales for their hospitality and success in a great cup competition. Terry John and Liz
