at €250 each to girls who are registered members of the LGFA Association, any girls interested in applying for a scholarship, please send a short letter with details of who they play for and when they are going to the Gaeltacht to:

St Galls Under age hurlers turned out in force last night (Thursday 29th May) at woodlands playing fields. A total of 32 kids Togged out in the blue and white of St Galls for games against Brid Og (amalgamation of St Agnes Eire Og St Brigids). We fielded teams at U6/U8/U10 and considering 12 more players were on holidays/unavailable hurling is starting to blossom again at miltown row, add this to the great work being done at U12/U14/U16 you can only be enthusiastic. The boys and girls hurled out of their skin and these young hurlers are improving every week honing their skills at blitz and training. However the biggest positive is seeing hurlers/parents/coaches smiling from cheek to cheek and enjoying their hurling this is what the Gaa is all about. Also a mention must go to Brid Og for accommodating us and also to the work that they are doing promoting hurling, all the games were tightly contested and they are definitely a team to look out for in the near future NGA…
